OriginalA, of the feed store, and OriginalB, of the grade school class are the two photos to be panned. Assuming your slideshow is to be using a display size of 1024x768, these originals must be a multiple of this height and/or width.
OriginalA is precisely 3072(3x1024) x 768 pixels. OriginalB is precisely 2048(2x1024)x1536(2x768).
The images must be precisely cropped to the planned display size of 1024x768 as depicted below. This is the hard part. The crops must be at equally spaced seams.
Open the PTE_Panorama.pte in PicsToExe. Study each photo in the slideshow. Notice that the primary transition effect is the “push” effect with a very long transition display time. The display time for each of the panned slides is set to 1ms. This is to minimize the pause at each new slide.
Notice that during the show, when PanA_02 is completely panned, a momentary pause occurs. Evidently PTE displays the slide for over 1ms. This pause is not evident in PanB as there are only two slides per pan direction.
Maybe Igor can solve this slight pause.
Now if you downloaded these files, you have something to study and play around with. Pretty simple, huh? Except for maybe the precise crops.
Have Fun,
Ken Nickles
